1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using FocusMode ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you do not have permission to use the Software.
2. License Terms
2.1 Trial License
- The Software offers a 3-day full-feature trial period
- No credit card information is required for the trial
- Trial begins upon first launch of the Software
2.2 Full License
- Purchase grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable license
- Each license permits activation on up to 2 devices
- License is valid for the current version and all minor updates
- Deactivation is limited to once per 30 days per device
- Automatic deactivation occurs after 90 days of inactivity
3. Privacy and Data Collection
3.1 Data Storage
- All user data is stored locally on your device
- No personal information is collected or transmitted
- No account creation is required
3.2 System Integration
- The Software integrates with system-level Do Not Disturb features
- Window position preferences are stored in system defaults
- No external data transmission occurs during normal operation
4. Refund Policy
Refunds are provided at the sole discretion of FocusMode and on a case-by-case basis and may be refused. FocusMode will refuse a refund request if we find evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour that entitles FocusMode to counterclaim the refund.
This does not affect your rights as a Consumer in relation to Products which are not as described, faulty or not fit for purpose.

5. Restrictions
You may not:
- Modify, reverse engineer, or decompile the Software
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
- Transfer your license to another party
- Use the Software for illegal purposes
- Attempt to bypass license validation
6. Updates and Maintenance
- Software updates are provided via Sparkle framework
- Updates are optional but recommended
- Technical support is provided for the current version only
7. Warranty Disclaimer
The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The developers of FocusMode make no warranties, claims or representations and expressly disclaim all such warranties.
8. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the developers of FocusMode be liable for any special, incidental, indirect or consequential damages whatsoever arising out of or in any way related to the use of or inability to use the Software.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes through the Software or via email.
